Today we drove over to Castellina, not too far from where we're staying, about a 40 minute drive on the winding road. It's a very pretty little town, and we enjoyed seeing it. We got there just in time for mass, and to have some biscotti and cappuccinos. Since the inn doesn't serve dinner tonight, and we don't want to walk to Volpaia in the rain, we found a little grocery store that was just about to close up, and bought bread, salami, cheese, olives and tomatoes. That will be our dinner tonight! We will have to borrow a knife and plates from Guido and Martina later. We don't have any other plans for today - dolce far niente.
Tomorrow we may go to Siena.
