Siena today

We went to Siena today, and it was so interesting. First of all, we had no trouble finding it, but once we were there, parking was a b***h, and that doesn't spell "beach". Anyway, once we found parking, we found the old city, and this is a photo of "il campo" where they still have horse races.
We didn't go into the cathedral or the duomo or the baptistry, because we didn't want to spend the money. We did have an excellent lunch, however. I had insalata mista and bruschetta, and they were both delicious. Al had rigatoni and he said it was maybe the best pasta at a Restaurant he's had so far. Then we had some great gelato.

Tonight we're eating here at La Locanda, and we really look forward to it. If it's anything like the other meal we had here, it will be delicious.

Tomorrow we go to Cinque Terre, and we won't be doing any more driving, which I think makes Al happy. He did an excellent job of driving all around Tuscany, and even into Umbria (Assisi). We do have to drive to La Spezia, then get the train to Monterosso.
I'm not sure what the wifi situation will be there, but I will try to keep posting as often as I can.
